KPOP: EXO-K's MAMA MV

Yes, I'm finally reviewing my latest favourite boyband's hyped up music video. It was hyped up, considering the number of teasers they had but the music video was definitely worth the wait! So yes, I remember watching a while back and I was definitely and I repeat, definitely awed by the music video. Well, it was really interesting that they all had special powers and that each member had their moment to shine. They looked very similar at first and considering how there are many idol groups debuting now, its hard to keep up.

EXO-K caught my attention for being the latest idol group debuting from one of the biggest 3 companies in South Korea, that is none other than SM Entertainment. Their name was the easiest to remember as well and I liked how exotic Kai looked. I'm just biased like that. :P

I also kept on confusing between Chanyeol and Baekhyun and I wasn't able to differentiate them until I saw them live on stage. Chanyeol is tall and Baekhyun has great vocals.

Suho was the easiest to remember as he looked pretty much like the younger version of SJ's Siwon. I happen to adore Siwon a lot so yes, Suho is pretty much one of my favourite members in EXO-K

This is the cute leader of the group, Suho ;) Looks a lot like Siwon no? :P

This is Sehun, the youngest in EXO-K or otherwise known as the maknae ;)

And last but not least, let me introduce to you D.O, the member with the strong voice ;)

Now, as you watch the music video, you would hear them chanting these few words repeatedly throughout the song.

Careless, careless,
Shoot anonymous, anonymous,
Heartless, mindless,
No one, who care about me?

I don't recall where I had read online about the meaning behind these lyrics but its somehow depicting careless beings who hurt strangers and that they were being heartless and mindless about it. And so, the EXO-K members are pleading and asking mother nature as to why people are changing and so forth. Basically, MAMA means mother nature and the song, (although it was just a debut song) has far more depth in the lyrics than a lot of songs out there.

You would also notice the dance break and Kai screaming so sexily as he yelled out the lyrics loudly. This part of the song, though unexpected is a nice addition to the already amazing vocals and synchronized dance moves. The dance moves are complicated and yet EXO-K did it flawlessly with the least amount of effort.

All in all, I liked the music video though the introduction (before all of the action begins) kind of amuses me a little. The boys are an eye candy to look at and you honestly can't find the least good looking member in this group. LOL. It's hard, trust me. You end up liking each one of them and then you'll start saving their pictures and end up with a folder for each member on your laptop. :P
